Measuring your nails at home is a great method if you are in a rush or if you do not want to purchase a sizing kit. Although, please keep in mind that there is more room for error when using this method compared to when using a sizing kit.
All measurements should be taken in millimetres for the most accurate fit. Follow the steps below to find your sizes.
How it works
Method 1: Tape and Ruler
You will need: Tape, a fine tipped pen and a ruler.
- Place the tape across the widest part of your nail.
- Use the pen to mark the tape where your left and right sidewalls (where the side of your nails meet the skin) are the widest.
- Peel off the tape, place it flat on the ruler and record the distance between the two marks in millimetres.
- Repeat for all ten fingers.
Method 2: Soft Measuring Tape
You will need: A soft measuring tape
- Wrap the tape snug over the widest part of your nail.
- Write down the number of millimetres from sidewall to sidewall.
- Repeat for all ten fingers.
Once you have got all ten measurements, refer to the Sizing Chart to determine your individual nail size.
